California Grants
A Cal Grant is money provided by the State of California to pay for tuition and education-related expenses. Unlike student loans, this money does not have to be repaid.
Who is qualified?
- A California graduating high school senior OR recent graduate OR you just got your GED
- AND meet the academic, financial and eligibility requirements
- AND submit the required applications by March 2nd
How to apply
- Submit the FAFSA between January 1st and March 2nd
- AND submit a Cal Grant GPA Verification Form between November 1st and March 2nd
To submit a verified Cal Grant GPA, first check with your school to see if they will do it for you. If not, download the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form, fill out the student section and take it to your school.
